I would add initial Alerts with notifications. I have set of alerts that I always create on each new SQL Server instance. Examples: Severity 19 to 25 errors, Severity 14 (permissions) errors, Deadlocks, Disk Space Alerts (if there are no other monitoring tools used).</description>
