Course for SQL Server Profiler
An exceptional DBA will be able to quickly and efficiently track down the cause of SQL Server under-performance. In this 7-module course, I offer an introductory, step-by-step guide to using SQL Server Profiler, a powerful performance monitoring and analysis tool. I should also mention that the British accent you’ll hear isn’t my voice, in case you’re taken by surprise when you think that doesn’t sound like someone who grew up in the US. (The voice actually belongs to a professional narrator living in Cambridge, UK, who we hired for the course.)
In case you haven’t spotted the link yet on my blog, this video course is also based on my Mastering SQL Server Profiler book. See my Books page to find out more about downloading a free eBook version.
The Introduction describes some motivating factors for taking the time to master the Profiler tool. It then provides an overview of the topics covered, how the course is structured, and advice on how to get the most out of it.
